EDSA PEOPLE POWER REVOLUTION

Of course, who will forget this historic EDSA People Power Revolution? All of the Filipinos will never forget this moment wherein young and old people walk hand in hand. They were crying and praying for democracy to succeed in our country. It was the day that Filipinos gathered with faith, unity and courage for freedom. It was the power of the people that ended Marcos administration. It was the true power of democracy. This revolution even stunned the world. We were widely-praised and supported by them.

Now, we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the EDSA Revolution. We should thank the “heroes of EDSA” especially Cory and Ninoy Aquino. They were the one who led the country back to freedom and justice. Let us do our best in not bringing back dictatorship in the Philippines. We should be proud of what they did. Many risked their lives and we should never forget them. Thus, in the 25th anniversary, let us reminisce what our fellow countrymen fought before. Let us now bring back the true essence of EDSA People Power Revolution.

VALENTINE'S DAY FOR ME

Typically, Valentine’s Day is the time wherein couples celebrate their love for each other. Boys usually give girls, flowers, cakes, balloons, cards, letters, or any gift from their hearts. Some pairs even go to malls or parks when this day comes. So, what is Valentine’s Day for you?

Love is really in the air if this day comes but for me, Valentine’s Day is just an ordinary day. I really don’t have a crush, a sweetheart, or a boyfriend so it is truly a normal day. There is really nothing to be busy with that day for I’ll not give someone a special valentine gift.

One instance, someone gave my classmate a gift. I was really happy for her and I even felt thrilled. I was even shouting that time and I don’t know why. On that day, I am not expecting to receive a gift from someone. But if ever I received something, well, I should be thankful. After all, it was just an ordinary day.

Dear Ma’am May,

I want to say that I am really grateful for having you as my teacher and also as my friend. You could readily give very inspiring advices to the class. Those words of mouth from you could really help us. There were times that you are strict but in some other time, I do feel that you’re already one of my friends.  I really love your funny jokes. Even though you’re not really cracking jokes, you could make me laugh instantly. You do have a good sense of humor. You even let me experience many new things especially those about speech and theater. Those activities like declamation, oration, jazz chant, pantomime, plays and many more helped me in becoming a better person. At least, I experienced bits of those things all because of you. Thanks for all the memories I shared with you.

                                                                                                                                              Sincerely yours,
                    Celine
